What is Saini Caste?
The Saini is one of the casts of Hindu in India, traditional agriculturists, landowners (Zamindars) and horticulturists. They have a total approx population of 6,98,000. Their main language is Hindi.
They are also known as Shoorsaini in Puranic literature. Saini community has many Reservations and Scholarships in government jobs & education Areas under Other Backward Class (OBC) in many states of India.

Origin (History)
Saini claims to be descendants of a king, Shurasena, as well as of Krishna. Shurasena (शूरसेन/Sursain) was an ancient ruler of Mathura. Shurasena was the father of Vasudeva (father of Krishna). Which is also mentioned in Puranas and Mahabharata.
Where Are they Located?
Saini people of India, mostly live in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, and Delhi.

Usually, they speak their local Language according to their state, But their main language is Hindi.

Education
Every Saini family wants their children to be well educated, due to this the literacy rate is quite high among the Saini.
What Are Their Beliefs?
Most Saini Family follow the Hindu religion, worshiping the main Hindu gods and goddesses, and their ancestors.
They celebrate Hindu festivals such as Diwali and Holi. They also celebrate Shoorsain Jayanti which is the birthday of King Shoorsain on 22nd December every year.
They cremate their dead and scatter the ashes in the Ganga River, but mostly at Haridwar.
